Day 8 - June 8
Today was a travel day, by tow truck instead of motorcycle. The tow operator promised a truck in Dawson by 10:00am - it finally showed up at 4:00pm. A late start meant we wouldn't be in Anchorage untill 2 or 3 in the morning. A friend who had worked with me for the booking of the 2007 Curve Cowboy Reunion was now the Director of Sales at the Anchorage Hilton. He offered a room for me while I waited for the bike to be repaired. I thought it would be just a night or two, but it ended up being 5. When we arrived at the Hilton in Anchorage, at 2:00am it was still almost like twilight.
