Day 11 - June 11

Today I did laundry, processed batches of pictures and consolidated my packing. Since the Silverado had a flat yesterday, Enterprise wanted me to swap vehicles. I picked up a new Chevrolet Tahoe. I visited with Scott Doonan, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton. Scott and I worked together for the 2007 Curve Cowboy Reunion at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach, MO. Scott worked at that hotel and was offered a promotion and the opportunity to move to Anchorage - he jumped at it. He and his wife absolutely love Anchorage, so far.

I had taken so many things that I hadn't used or needed so I packed up a couple of boxes to ship home. I have been carrying a really nice Sony HD camcorder, but I am just not interested in video on this trip so I shipped it home. I also sent my Gerbings heated pants, extra pair of Jeans and other Items that were adding unnecessary bulk and weight. I ran some errands and picked up a few things for the rest of the trip and replaced the food and other items that were stolen in Whitehorse. I walked around downtown Anchorage, had drinks and dinner at 'The Top of the World' restaurant on the top of the Hilton. I didn't carry a camera at all. After 500 miles yesterday, today was a lazy day.
