Day 9 - First day in Anchorage, AK

The next morning, I was to meet the tow truck driver, but the streeets in front of the hotel were closed for a charity run. We finally got the bike over to the dealer and unloaded it. The dealer did not order the part in time for next day delivery and didn't ask for Saturday delivery so the bike will sit here for the next five days. There was a charity run and a market just outside the Anchorage Hilton. There was a charity run and a market just outside the Anchorage Hilton. A knife juggler entertained. Now she holds up a board she is going to break An audience member inspects the board Her 'volunteer' assistant (clearly a plant) sets fire to the board She goes to break the board Here is why 4 frames per second just isn't fast enough. Only .25 seconds after the last shot the board is broken and she is bringing her hand back. It was fun to try. There was a charity run and a market just outside the Anchorage Hilton. There were quite a few bands. This one was bluegrass. Another stage had urban, country and rock bands throughout the day. The tall building is the Hilton - my home for the next five days. There were several local artists in the market. This one made some little Eskimo dolls and personalized them for my wife and daughter.
