Day 22 - Livingston Montana to Grand Teton National Park

I stayed and watched for well over an hour.  Eventually I switched to the 400mm lens. The cub is lost in the grass. I have switched to the 400mm lens, but didn't want to take the time to unpack the tripod.  Because of that some of the shots are a little soft. There were also some in use at Glacier N.P.  They are looking at the bears.  By now there are probably 50 people along the side of the road. Looking for more insects.  The ranger said that the bears love the high protien from insects to build fat for hibernation. C'mon kid, lets roll Now where are we going? In Yellowstone, way down in a canyon.  Up high on the side, to my left, is a bald eagle's nest. Here is the eagle's nest.  Mom is there, but difficult to see with this lens. I would guess she is sitting on some eggs or hatchlings. but too far away to see. This is a crop of the original, but it is still dificult to make her out Yellowstone - lazin' in the sun Yellowstone - along the western side of the lower loop She looked at me stopping to take her picture, but really didn't care Yellowstone - right along the side of the road.  Equipped with a transponder and oblivious to the cars and people going by. I saw quite a few animals with this collar.  The bears I saw weren't collared, but the ranger said some were. Jackson Lake.  The last time I saw it it was about 15 feet below normal. I am glad to see it full again. Our usual bike picture in front of the Tetons, but from a different spot.
