The planned route. About 3000 miles over the course of about 14 days. This is the first leg of our journey - from Aurora, Colorado, USA to Jasper, Alberta, CA and to Calgary, Alberta, CA. On the way to Canada we stopped in Billings, Montana for a night and in Lethbridge, Alberta for a night. We stayed in Jasper for 5 nights and in Calgary for 2. Our first fuel stop after about 150 miles. Randy's new K1300GT and Michelle's new K1300S were running fine and we were already getting very comfortable on them. The new Streetguard riding pants and jackets were comfortable. Our second day was rainy and stormy so no pictures. This is our third day, stopping in Vulcan, Alberta. We were told to be sure and see the USS Enterprise while we were in Vulcan. This fuel stop was just across the street from the Enterprise. Welcome to Vulcan - home of the USS Enterprise! Vulcan, Alberta - home of the USS Enterprise OK - so it's not that thrilling. Vulcan, Alberta - home of the USS Enterprise Canadian National #6015 in downtown Jasper. The scenic Via Rail train departing to Prince Rupert with an overnight stop in Prince George. All of the locals told us that this was a nice train, but the Rocky Mountaneer trains were a little better because they make your overnight reservations for each night as well. \n\nhttp://www.rockymountaineer.com/\n\nhttp://www.viarail.ca The scenic Via Rail train departing to Prince Rupert with an overnight stop in Prince George.
